Zoodoku Privacy Policy

Overview

Zoodoku is an animal logic puzzle by Fireport. It does not require a Fireport account. You can play without giving Fireport your name, email address, contacts, photos, or precise location.

Information stored on your device

Zoodoku stores game progress and preferences locally on your device. This can include your current level, best score, power-ups, tutorial status, selected animal, unlocked animals, Daily Zoo stamps and completed dates, music and sound preferences, and your anonymous analytics choice.

Optional anonymous analytics

Zoodoku asks before sending analytics. Analytics is off until you choose “Share anonymous data,” and you can turn it off later in Settings. Turning it off stops collection and clears analytics events that have not yet been sent.

If you opt in, Zoodoku uses PostHog Cloud in the European Union to understand whether the tutorial and levels work well. Events can include app opens and backgrounding; tutorial progress; level starts, completions, failures, and duration; normal or Daily Zoo mode; board size and level number; marks and undos; correct placements and mistakes; the rule involved in a mistake; hints and power-ups; remaining lives; selected animal; result-button actions; music and sound settings; purchase or restore attempts and outcomes for the Full Zoo product (but never payment details); app version; and operating-system platform.

Analytics events use a randomly generated identifier stored by Zoodoku and random session/event identifiers. Zoodoku does not send your name, email address, advertising identifier, precise location, exact puzzle-cell coordinates, free-form text, contacts, photos, or screen recordings. Fireport does not use this information for advertising or to track you across other companies' apps or websites.

PostHog may process technical connection information, such as an IP address, when receiving a network request. Fireport does not add an IP address to the event data. For more information about PostHog's handling of data, see PostHog's privacy notice.

Why analytics is used

Fireport uses opted-in analytics to improve onboarding, balance puzzle difficulty, find levels that cause unusual failures or drop-off, understand Daily Zoo and animal-theme use, evaluate sound and power-up features, and measure whether players return. Analytics is not sold and is not used for third-party advertising.

Optional rewarded advertising

The free version of Zoodoku offers an optional rewarded video when you choose to revive after running out of food. Zoodoku does not show banner ads, automatic interstitial ads, or an ad without your request. The Full Zoo purchase removes advertising; Zoodoku does not request or display ads for Full Zoo owners.

Rewarded ads are provided by Google AdMob. Before requesting an ad, Zoodoku uses Google's User Messaging Platform to obtain the latest consent information and show privacy choices where required. When available for your region, you can reopen those choices from “Ad privacy choices” in Settings.

Zoodoku explicitly requests non-personalized rewarded ads and does not request Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission. The Google Mobile Ads SDK and participating ad providers may still process an IP address to estimate general location; device- or app-bounded identifiers; information about ads shown and video completion; app launches and other product interactions; and crash, performance, or diagnostic information. This information may be used to deliver and measure contextual ads, prevent fraud, operate the advertising service, and perform advertising analytics. The exact processing depends on your device, region, privacy choices, and the ad that is served.

Fireport does not receive your name or email address from AdMob and does not sell personal information. Google and participating ad providers process advertising data under their own notices and the choices shown in the consent form. See Google's Privacy Policy for more information.

Data retention and deletion

Fireport retains opted-in analytics only for as long as reasonably needed to improve and operate Zoodoku, normally no longer than 24 months, after which it is deleted or aggregated. Local game data remains on your device until you remove the app or its data.

Because the app does not know your real-world identity, Fireport may need the anonymous identifier from your device to locate a specific analytics record. To ask a privacy question or request deletion, use the Fireport contact form and choose “Privacy or data request.” Fireport may instead delete all matching Zoodoku analytics where identifying a single anonymous record is not reasonably possible.

Support enquiries

If you contact Fireport through the website, the form asks for your name, reply email address, enquiry type, and message. Netlify processes the submission on Fireport's behalf. Fireport uses this information only to respond to and manage your enquiry and does not add it to Zoodoku gameplay analytics.

Service providers and international processing

PostHog is Fireport's analytics service provider. Zoodoku is configured to send analytics to PostHog's European Union ingestion service. PostHog may use vetted subprocessors to operate its service under its own contractual and security commitments.

Google provides AdMob rewarded advertising and the User Messaging Platform consent service. Google and the ad technology providers identified in its consent flow may process advertising information in countries other than your own, subject to their legal safeguards and privacy notices.

Children

Zoodoku is not directed specifically to children under 13, and Fireport does not knowingly collect their personal information. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided information can contact Fireport to request deletion.

Your choices

Rewarded ads are voluntary: you can restart the puzzle instead. Where an advertising privacy choice is required, Zoodoku presents Google's consent form before requesting an ad and provides the required Settings entry point for changing that choice. You can also purchase Full Zoo to use ad-free revives and prevent further ad requests.

Changes to this policy

Fireport may update this policy when Zoodoku's features or service providers change. The date at the top will be updated, and material changes will be communicated in the app or its store listing where appropriate.
